What Katie Did Lingerie :: Shoot

Heres some images I took for an MA Student at London College of Fashion for a Stylist called Olivia Fisher. The Shoot took place at The Gore Hotel in Knightsbridge.

Final Major Project :: Tutorial 2

Leila introduced me to Glen Luchford's cinematic work, which I instantly fell in love with. This shoot is from the Spring/Summer Prada Campaign in 1998.

Working still on the Apocalyptic theme I may scale down my idea due to budget and locations, so looking at issues such as "Social Structure - Is that What Makes Us Human?, What Makes Us Civilised - What Would It Be Like Without Structure? & What Would Happen to Someone That's Left in Solitary Confinement"

So with these thoughts in mind maybe a Apocalyptic event happens in a characters head rather than an actual set of events.

I really really want to shoot a Cinematic sequence of events like Glen Luchford's done to perfection in the above images, so back to the drawing board for me!

Kienholz: The Hoerengracht

How fantastic is this, massively inspires me for a Post Apocalyptic scene, creating a fake street scene could be a lot of fun...

THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE :: JACOB SUTTON, GARY CARD & HANA AL-SAYED

A 3 way collaboration of an photographer a set designer and a sculptor at a new exhibition at Spring Studios in Kentish town.

"Spring Studios is a creative hub as it is, so it makes sense that the 3,000 square foot ground-floor gallery pushes its artistic boundaries. For Bermuda Triangle Sutton and Al-Sayed have collaborated on a series of photographs and a film, both exploring the moment of impact between human bodies and artificial materials and fluids, such as powder falling from exploding balloons and milk pouring from toppled oil drums" (Text taken from DAZED DIGITAL)

For me this images relate to disaster, human contact with man made materials, the kind of thing you'd expect during a Apocalyptic event. These images show a fusion between man and substance.

PETER LINDBERGH :: EDITORIAL :: NUMERO 2003 :: LA LANTERNE ROUGE :: MODEL - DIANA DONDOE

Heres an old editorial by Peter Lindergh, not the usual kind of shoot you'd expect from him. however the lighting I find very interesting and would like to test some shoots using a variety of different colours to portray, a nuclear fallout sky.

"Melted Bottle" Nagasaki by Shomei Tomatsu

A Japanese photographer I found while watching "The Genius of Photography", I believe this photographer went to Nagasaki and photographed what was left after America dropped an Atomic Bomb here.

This photograph caught my attention as it does'nt show the human casualties but what impact it had on the environment.
